Aruba

Aruba is a very romantic island. It is located in the Caribbean Sea, where it lies about 30 km from the north coast of Venezuela, as an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The island was discovered in 1499 by the Spaniards. Aruba became a Dutch colony after Spanish rule in the middle of the 17th century, together with the nearby islands. It was not until 1986 that it seceded from the "Netherlands Antilles" and gained the status of an overseas territory with internal autonomy. In the 19th century, a gold rush took place on the island. The Queen of the Netherlands is represented by the Governor.

The island is 30 km long and 9 km wide and is full of beautiful long beaches with fine sand, azure sea, coral reefs and breathtaking flora and fauna, which is represented by tall cacti and succulents, coconut palms and sacred Divi Divi trees. On the south and west coasts stretch a kilometer of white sandy beaches, which are among the most beautiful in the world.
